A plant with a long naming history, Philodendron ‘Xanadu’ now known as Thaumatophyllum xanadu thanks to the wonders of modern day DNA testing. Discovered in 1983 in a nursery in Western Australia, it was patented ‘Winterbourn’ and eventually renamed ‘Xanadu’. Known around the world for its glossy green, deeply lobed leaves. “Xanadu” makes a beautiful potted specimen in cooler climates or planted in rushes or swathes in warmer.
